Once Upon a Swipe...

Hannah and Gavin’s love story started in the great, wild world of the internet in September 2019, where their connection was instant (and, let’s be honest, inevitable). By November, when they finally met in person, they just knew—like, cue the rom-com montage level of knowing. But then came COVID, turning their love story into a long-distance saga, with Hannah in Ontario and Gavin in Montana. Between summer and winter visits, FaceTime marathons, and making memories with each other’s families (Gavin and Hannah’s dad basically becoming besties), they made it work like pros.Once things settled and Hannah was back in Alberta finishing school, they tag-teamed weekends, always finding time to be together. Gavin, ever the mountain man, introduced her to the magic of Montana’s peaks, and by 2022, Hannah officially moved closer, making it way easier to close the distance—especially with Gavin still in the military reserve.

Fast forward to New Year’s Day 2024: they’re celebrating at The Keg with her coworkers, and Gavin is acting just a littleweird. The car had broken down days earlier, plans had gone sideways, but one thing remained on track—he had the ring. Hannah, being the intuitive (and let’s be real, impatient) queen she is, knew. Before he even made it out of the car, she started questioning him until, finally, he caved and pulled out the ring. No grand speech, no dramatic down-on-one-knee moment—just an overjoyed “YES!” before he even got the chance to ask. To this day, they joke that he still technically hasn’t popped the question.

February 2024 brought them even closer together when Gavin moved to be with her, making their lives even more connected. Then, in April, they took their first big adventure to Mexico, meeting up with family, basking in the sunshine, and catching the travel bug. Now, they’re dreaming of many more trips together, soaking up the sun, exploring the world, and continuing their perfectly imperfect, laughter-filled love story. 💕✨
